What is Resin?

Resin is a chemical compound that when cured hardens similar to an acrylic. When mixed with pigment, beautiful designs can be achieved that can mimic that of marble, glass, or ceramic finishes. However, please note that this tray or anything made with resin is not real marble or ceramic. Due to the properties of Resin sometimes there can be imperfections. Sublimation is the transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas state, without passing through the liquid state. The verb form of sublimation ... When mixed with pigment, beautiful designs can be achieved that can mimic that of marble, glass, or ceramic finishes.  Mostly see on Tumbler, T-Shirts and Coasters.

What type of art pieces does Phase Creations offer?
Phase Creations offers a wide range of art pieces, including coasters, trays, cutting boards, jewelry, tumblers, custom pet bowls and more. All pieces are handmade one-of-a-kind pieces made with extreme care but inevitably may contain small imperfections, such as small dust particles or bubbles that may have landed while  curing. Please, note that due to lighting effects, monitor’s brightness, contrast, and other settings, there might be some slight differences in the color tone/shade of the web site’s photo and the actual item.

How do I care for for my product?

Avoid harsh chemicals, oils and rubbing alcohol. Resin products  and some sublimation are not dishwasher safe.  T-shirts can be washed inside out in warm water.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or extreme heat.

 If your resin item has softened due to heat, store it in a cold space until it hardens again.

If it bends and uneven during transportation use a hair dryer to warm and lay on a flat surface to harden.

Hand wash only with dish soap and dry with a soft cloth, do not scrub or soak in water. Item could scratch.

Food safe resin is used, however, it is best to use a napkin when using as a serving tray.
